At the same time, the acceleration of the development of shale gas and coal bed methane, these two unconventional gases, is regarded as a breakthrough point throughout the industry chain.

The whole industry chain promotes the development of supply and demand

Upstream, we will strive to build 8 large-scale natural gas production bases with annual output of over 10 billion cubic meters. By 2020, the accumulated geological reserves of conventional natural gas will be increased by 5.5 trillion cubic meters, and the annual output of conventional natural gas will be 185 billion cubic meters. According to data from the National Development and Reform Commission, my country’s conventional natural gas output in 2013 was 117.8 billion cubic meters, and the target of 185 billion cubic meters will continue to accelerate upstream production in the future.

It has proposed some relatively new targets for natural gas transportation and refined the focus of urban taxis and buses. "But it can be seen that in terms of natural gas transportation, the tone is still stable and there will be no explosive development."

Li believes that the development of unconventional gas is still relatively slow, so the policy level expects it to speed up.

In the "Plan" announced this time, it has made clear provisions for the development of shale gas and other unconventional natural gas.

Wang Xiaokun said that the downstream expansion of natural gas has been inhibited by high prices, and the growth rate is slowing down: "In the industrial field, due to the sluggish manufacturing industries such as papermaking and metal smelting, price sensitivity is increasing, and the attractiveness of gradually rising natural gas prices is weakening; In the field of power generation, the pace of natural gas power generation is more than three times higher than that of coal.

"If the price of natural gas is maintained at a relatively economic level, then its downstream expansion will be relatively smooth, and the future demand for natural gas will remain strong.
